Having to explain to people that yes, you can have casual sex and NOT DIE, and just like, be ok, is truly one of the weirdest shifts that this culture has made. People make bad choices, but they grow and move on. The fact that Kat can live and work with Heath and Bella shows that. How many people do we know are trying to coparent with their ex and live with their current partner? Mei is so fecking lucky.
Yeah in the queer community being friends with your ex is no big deal. And I loved ending the book with this little girl surrounded by loving adults who are going to make sure her childhood is NOTHING like their own!

we got our realistic and messy endings with the main trio, but Garrett got as close as he could to a happy ending and tbh that's all i needed 😌❤️
